Joint EU-Russia workshop “Adaptation to Climate Change” is going to be held in Nizhny Novgorod on 20 September 2007. The workshop will cover such urgent issues as implementation of adaptation policy in Russia and EU Member-states and EU-Russia co-operation in the field of development of adaptation policy and measures, technology transfer and scientific research.

The workshop is organized by DG Environment, Federal Service for Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring of Russia (Roshydromet) with assistance of the government of the Nizhegorodskaya oblast and Verhne-Volzhskiy regional department of Roshydromet, within the framework of the Climate Change Subgroup of the EU-Russia Dialogue on the Environment.

Representatives of the government, business, research institutes and non-governmental organizations are welcome to take part in the workshop.
